| Who is God that He should be mindful of man?
I think of the scripture where Jesus as a child sat in the temple
and taught at the age of 12, and how the scholars, and priests were
astonished at the knowledge He had of the Word, and understanding of
the Scriptures. Little did they know that they were speaking
face to face with the One that said, "Let there be light". And
the Bible said He grew in statue and the favor and wisdom of God was
upon Him.
What the Lord must have felt in his heart, as He walked again on
the earth He spoke into its very existence. In the book of
Genesis, He walked in the cool of the day with Adam and Eve. At
the first He looked and saw His creation and said, "It is good", but I
wonder how He must have felt this time when He came to His own but His
own received Him not. Who is God that He would even be mindful
of man?
How He must have felt when He saw how sin, sickness, separation
from God had taken hold of the very purpose He was here: the soul of
man. God has always wanted fellowship back with man, so much so
that He Himself left a throne where He reigns, a Kingdom where the
angels are around Him crying, "Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty"
continuously. Who is God that He should be mindful of man?
The Lamb, the blood, the great I Am, the everlasting Father
The heart of God desiring what came from Him, the breath of life,
to return to Him, He told His disciples, "Have I been so long with
you, and still you know me not?". The voice of God Himself
calling Lazarus from the dead, telling His disciples and family,
"Loose him from the gave clothes and give him meat". God even
then giving life and substance once again. God being the Supreme
sacrifice to reconcile man back to Him, on the whipping post, in the
prison alone, on the cross of Golgotha. Who is God that he would
be mindful of man? |
