Although we love foreign mission ministries, at present the Lord has directed our hearts to witness and work to reach souls in our local community. We have opened a storefront mission on Ozark Ave. in East Gastonia and have met several people in the neighborhood as a result. Our vision is to have a ministry here that feeds, clothes and ministers to hurting people that we come in contact with. It is right on a busy road with cars and people passing by quite often. We hope to go back to Trinidad again when the Lord leads. There is a need for donations of clothing and canned foods or even an offering of any kind in case someone would be interested in helping. (Ministry and Thrift Store) is Now Open! Located at 1910 E. Ozark Ave in Gastonia, NC Right beside East Gastonia Hardware Hours of Operation are: Monday - Saturday Open at 10:00 or 10:30 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday close at 5:00 Friday close between 4 and 5 Tuesday and Saturday close at 3:00 Things are set up at the Outreach Mission for a thrift store along with an outflow of ministry to the needs of local people both naturally and spiritually. We are in need of donated items such as furniture, good books, clothes etc., anything you would find in a small thrift store. We will be offering free simple bible studies for new converts as well as those who want to gain more out of studying the bible. God gave us the name for it in our recent Revival with Brother Ravin Fields; who preached the Word of God in a straightforward kind of way. Time is running out for work to be done and souls to be won. Let's work while there is time. Prayer works. If you are ever in the vicinity of the mission, stop by. We'd love to meet you. I cannot express what the Lord is doing at the Thrift Store. Every day we are open we meet new people and make new friends. Watching the smiles on children's faces as they are given a free toy or a pair of shoes means the world to me. It is a privilege to serve in the Lord's kingdom through this thrift store ministry. Prayer requests are given and we have a prayer box now we put them in and will be dedicated to pray over them daily. Many are promising to bring donations and we hope to reach out even more in the spring and summer. Praise music or southern gospel music is played most of the time in the store and brings a pleasant atmosphere and seems to open the hearts of many who come in. God's blessings continue to flow through the Storehouse. On December 19, We were blessed to give away seven bicycles to needy children. What joy and excitement we felt as we shared the love of Jesus with children as we blessed them with food, clothes and the message of Christ. |
