1 Thessalonians 2:13
Our desire has much to do with everything about us. Our praise will
only be as lively as our desire is. Our prayer life will only be as
effective as our desire. Our worship will only be as sincere as our desire
to magnify the Lord.
To desire means to want, crave or long for resulting from a sense of
the lack that is in our own lives. We are to seek for the renewing of our
minds and souls in the things of God. He is a God to be sought after, and
ministered to through a life of submission. When we really understand that
all the treasures are in Jesus Christ. We will desire to inquire more of
Him

Christ in heaven. He bestows those things upon all who sincerely ask,
diligently seek, and persistently knock (Luke 11:1-13; 1 Corinthians

Without desire we will no go after God as we need to.
Some desire to obtain salvation only to get to heaven.
Some desire to please God, to praise God and to obey God.
Some desire spiritual gifts, some do not.
Desire must be acted upon with an act of faith. Your desires will be
manifest to all those around by the actions that you produce. May our
lights shine forth showing the way to Jesus through our strong desire to
be completely surrendered to His will.
The heart is the seat of your desires.
